David Plew, President, co-chaired the 1st Annual Overdose Lifeline Memorial Charity Golf Outing held September 19th at Hickory Stick Golf Club in Greenwood, IN.  The outing is held in memory of Leland Plew (David’s Son), Jarrod Polston and Aaron Sims (ODL founder Justin Phillips’ son) and all the other lives lost to the disease of addiction.  The other co-chairs, Taylor Kennel and Eric Roach were good friends of Leland Plew and it was their idea to have the golf outing in memory of their friend.  Proceeds are donated to Overdose Lifeline, a 501-3C non-profit, that focuses on: changing the stigma of addiction through an educational ground breaking program presented to 8th and 9th graders called This Is Not About Drugs to prevent the first use; provide Naloxone kits (overdose reversal drug) and training to first responders and individuals who have a friend or family member that has a high probability of an opioid overdose; and provide Group Grief Counseling with a licensed counselor for families that have lost a loved one to drugs and or alcohol.  The 1st annual outing was a success and over $6,700 dollars was donated to ODL.   Many thanks to the Gold Sponsor, Modern Woodmen Insurance.
